United Litho Takes "Best of Web," 25 Other Awards in PIVA Competition

January 2008 — For the second year in a row, United Litho, Inc., took home the "Best of Web" award in the 2007 PIVA Best in Print competition, along with three more first-place awards and 22 awards of excellence.

A regional affiliate of the Printing Industries of America/Graphic Arts Technical Foundation (PIA/GATF), PIVA holds the competition annually to recognize excellence in printing in Virginia across 37 categories, from business cards and packaging to magazines. All entries are judged by a panel of distinguished members of GATF, recognized as some of the most knowledgeable professionals in the printing industry. In each category, judges look for excellence in litho preparation, printing and binding. The printer’s skill, the difficulty of the job, registration quality and technical excellence are all considered in determining the winning entries.
